As a child, I always had a desire to create. I attempted many different mediums over the years and never felt satisfied with the end product. When I started creating out of love, I began to feel pleasure and a sense of accomplishment that had been missing from all of my previous attempts. I am not sure if it was finally finding the types of materials I felt more comfortable working with, or if it was the way in which I approached a project. I have a feeling it is a bit of both, and possibly that I cannot create without feeling love. As it turns out, I love textiles, math, and writing, and all of those things happen to go together quite nicely in my world.
